Ken’s Sapphires is a family owned and family worked mine in the Gemfields area of Central Queensland. It was started by our father, grandfather and great grandfather, the late Ken Vickers and this website is dedicated to him.
We mine authentic and ethically sourced Australian Sapphires that have been underground for millions of years but we sometimes come across other special gemstones like Ruby’s, Amythest and Zircon.
Any top quality stones are faceted into the best size and shaped gem for that stone depending on the plane.
Any of these gems can be commissioned to be set into many different types of jewellery to give you a beautiful piece that has been genuinely sourced, created and handled by only a couple of people.
